A Huge Thank You To Everyone Who Helped Us!
In the last fiscal year the Kelowna Women’s shelter had 4779 'Bed Stays'. 2591 women and 2188 men. They also offered about 1500 counseling sessions.
Usually they have about 100 moms and kids come to the annual Christmas party and about 40 volunteers help out with the various activities. The children will receive 2 or more gifts each. Some children will only see what santa brings to them at this party. They serve the children who have used the services within the last year. At their Christmas Party they will have games, face painting, the children get to choose and wrap a gift for their moms, crafts, food and drinks, Santa comes and this year they will also have a magician! The Kids LOVE the Christmas Party!!!
The Shelter is very thankful for the toys Royal Lepage Kelowna collects every year. I am proud to say we have collected 236 gifts for mom’s and children this year (2012) . Thanks agents and friends of Royal LePage Kelowna for helping your community.
